An Open Letter From UK Musicians and Artists to the Government

More than 100 leading UK musicians and artists have joined forces to urge Prime Minister Keir Starmer to reject Rosebank — the UK’s largest untapped oil field. In an open letter, signatories call on the government to follow climate science and stop new fossil fuel developments. Rosebank’s developer, Norwegian state oil giant Equinor, is expected to reapply for approval soon. If given the green light, the project would emit more CO₂ in a single year than the world’s 28 lowest-income countries combined.
