Nature The Artist is on the rise!
Celebrating the New Sounds Right Releases
Last week on Earth Day, a major moment for music and nature took place. Over 30 artists released new tracks co-created with sounds from the natural world — everything from birdsong and glaciers to coral reefs and forests.
The project, called Sounds Right, is led by the Museum for the United Nations – UN Live, and we at EarthPercent are proud to be a lead partner. We helped bring artists into the project, coordinated the Sounds Right Fund, and are managing the Advisory Panel that decides where the money raised will have the biggest impact for conservation.
Artists and Nature Collaborating
The new tracks feature an incredible range of artists including Yann Tiersen, Armaan Malik, Raveena, SYML, Amelie Lens, Franc Moody, Steve Angello, Rosa Walton, I. JORDAN, and many more. The artists worked with sounds recorded from nature and blended them into their music, across genres like pop, electronic, indie, and classical.
Each track highlights a different connection to nature — whether it’s Rozzi reflecting on the devastation of LA wildfires, or Franc Moody building a dance track around the sounds of tropical rainforests.
BRINGING NATURE INTO THE SPOTLIGHT
Once again the campaign didn’t just live online — nature sounds also took over some of the biggest public spaces in the world, including billboards in Times Square. There were also events held in Denmark and London to celebrate the latest releases. Both of these served as a powerful reminder that nature isn’t just background noise — it’s something artists rely on, are inspired by, and want to protect.
Through Sounds Right, every stream helps fund real conservation work. It’s an exciting new way for music fans to make a difference — simply by listening.
We’re proud to be part of a project that puts nature at the centre of culture and shows what’s possible when music and activism come together.
